Simply Links – February

I can’t believe it’s the end of February. I also can’t believe I nearly forgot my only recurring post. But no fear – I have a few things to tell you about.

Burly Table
Our house church is watching through a series of Converge DVDs, and while I am enjoying them, I keep finding myself distracted by how much I absolutely LOVE the coffee table used on the set. I posted the preview video here because it’s pretty much the only place I could find a photo. I told Evan I wanted one, but unfortunately we don’t have any redwoods here in WV. He did find a huge burl (used for the top) on ebay for just $2,000. Hmm. I don’t think that’s going to happen.

Springy-Wear
dressIs it just me or are you all as ready for spring as I am? Because I am SO ready. Which has me thinking about sandals. And dresses. Like this one, for example. First of all, it’s orange. If you saw my previous post, you know I’m on an orange kick. Second, it has a wide band in the right spot. Well, the right spot for me, at least. And of course it’s from Anthropologie, the best. store. ever.

Homestead Creamery
I don’t have a photo for this one, but listen up. If you’re a local, you should be looking for this milk. It comes in glass half-gallon jars, which you pay a $2 deposit for and then return for a refund. Like when I was a kid. Well, actually, when I was a kid we had a milkman from a local dairy who brought milk to our house in glass bottles and occasionally gave me a popsicle. That is no lie – and I’m only 30. Anyway, back to this milk…It’s not full of hormones or antibiotics, and the bottles are made from recycled glass. They’re sorta-local (Virginia) and the milk is delicious. Take note: if you don’t want to consume an inordinate amount of chocolate milk, don’t buy theirs. It’s delicious, and as thick as a milkshake. You can’t say I didn’t warn you.
