Karma Card Giveaway

I mentioned in this post my love for putting pen to paper. What I don’t think I told you about was my collection of note cards. I love them. I know logically I don’t need that many cards, but if I see a cute pack I just buy them. Fortunately, I do send them to people on occasion, so they aren’t collecting dust.

So yesterday I was at Office Depot and ran across the cutest little notecards. I had already noticed the line of New Leaf paper there – containing high percentage of post-consumer recycled content. But these cards, made by the same company, are 1) well designed, 2) affordable, 3) 100% post-consumer recycled paper content, and 4) double as a postcard. Once you send the card to a friend, they can tear off the front and mail it on to another friend. Or back to you.

I liked them so much I bought a pack for me (I’m mailing the first one out today), and a pack for you. Here’s the deal – you leave a comment telling me who you should send one of the cards to, and I’ll chose a random winner tomorrow (Tuesday) evening.

I love blogs that do giveaways, and I’m so excited to be one!

Update: Lillian is the winner! And in the process, I discovered random.org that chooses a random number or list item. I needed to do it fairly. :-)

  • Kelli,

I too love note cards. These look really cute. I need to send a card to several people. One to a dear friend of mine from high school who’s husband just had a large melanoma tumor removed from his brain. They are weighing his treatment options. She has four children ages 32 to 16. The youngest is a girl they adopted from Russia about twelve years ago. They are all having a tough time.

The second person is a lady in my church who recently had knee replacement surgery. She was recovering nicely, but has developed a serious infection (possilby mersa?), which has required her to be put in isolation. I had planned to visit her at the hospital yesterday after church, but she can’t have visitors. A card would help lift her spirits.

    There are several more…..

  • Hi Kelli!

I was going to campaign for the notecards… I could use them to write more thank-you cards for baby gifts. Buuuut… I think after reading Allyn’s post she has me beat!!

I love your blog though, and have been reading all the time. Will be making my first whipped cream as soon as I have a good excuse ;-)

  • Kelli,
I would love to send and need to send a long overdue card to Jimmy Burchett for bringing me the flowers and the book “Ninety Minutes in Heaven” that was a great read while I was in the hospital 10 weeks ago. I am ashamed to not have sent him one before now but procrastination is one of my terrible faults.
I really like the card and recycled paper which is great and could use them to send many overdue thank you’s out. However, my vote is for Allyn as well. She has me beat, but you are the judge and remember I’m you mother. haha! :)

  • Kelli,

The cards may be more appropriate for thank yous instead of thinking of you…..so I will relinquish my entry for one of the other entries. I have some note cards that I csn use. Your post has prompted me to write to those I need ot reach out to. Like Jane, I too am a procrastinator.

  • Just for clarification, the winner is chosen randomly – so technically your answer doesn’t win you any points. But I still like reading them. :-D

  • kel. those are so super cute.
and i would OBVIOUSLY send it to the byrd.

  • We have a winner! I used random.org – fun – and appropriately named, and Lillian was chosen.

I’ll send them out to you in a day or three, Lil! Enjoy!

  • congrats Lillian!

So, what do you think?
